WENN - RUDYARD KIPLING

Wenn

Rudyard Kipling "If"

und sagst kein Wort was du dabei riskierst
.
.

Dark August
So much rain, so much life like the swollen sky
of this black August. My sister, the sun,
broods in her yellow room and won’t come out.
Everything goes to hell; the mountains fume
like a kettle, rivers overrun; still,
she will not rise and turn off the rain.
She’s in her room, fondling old things,
my poems, turning her album. Even if thunder falls
like a crash of plates from the sky,
she does not come out.
Don’t you know I love you but am hopeless
at fixing the rain? But I am learning slowly
to love the dark days, the steaming hills,
the air with gossiping mosquitoes,
and to sip the medicine of bitterness,
so that when you emerge, my sister,
parting the beads of the rain,
with your forehead of flowers and eyes of forgiveness,
all will not be as it was, but it will be true
(you see they will not let me love
as I want), because, my sister, then
I would have learnt to love black days like bright ones,
the black rain, the white hills, when once
I loved only my happiness and you.

FRAGMENTO XVII

Esperei três dias ...
Todos me disseram :
- Você deve esperar mais !

Esperei um mês ...
Alguns me disseram :
- Já esperou o suficiente !

Esperei um Ano ...
Pouquíssimos me perguntaram :
- É tão importante assim ?

Parei de esperar ...
Ninguém perguntou :
- E aí conseguiu ?

O VENTO E A VELA

não confundir o vento com a vela
a vela que o vento leva

é só a vela
não é o vento

o vento que leva a vela

é só o vento
não é a vela

não confundir vento com vela
vela é esforço afã renúncia
desgaste certeza recolhimento

vento sem vela
é guerreiro sem flâmula
cavaleiro sem graal
cruzado sem cruz
paladino sem causa
peregrino sem meca

nem confundir vela com vento
vento é força impulso impacto
destino surpresa alento

vela sem vento
é flâmula sem guerreiro
graal sem cavaleiro
cruz sem cruzado
causa sem paladino
meca sem peregrino

vento e vela vela e vento
ação sentido movimento
desfecho resultado acontecimento

conta Clio nostálgica
que o vento mais a vela
através de novos mares
conduziriam caravelas
às portas de outras terras
outras vidas
outros ares

meu barco estranho barco
de meus dias o mar fastidioso
cruzando à toa terço triste
navega a remo
a dor de braço
da vela é rico
de vento é parco

ALMEIDA GARRET (1799-1854)

BARCA BELA

Pescador da barca bela,
Onde vás pescar com ela,
Que é tão bela,
Oh pescador ?

Não vês que a última estrela
No céu nublado se vela ?
Colhe a vela,
Oh pescador !

Deita o lanço com cautela,
Que a sereia canta bela ...
Mas cautela,
Oh pescador !

Não se inrede a rede nela,
Que perdido é remo e vela
Só de vê-la,
Oh pescador !

Pescador da barca bela,
Inda é tempo, foge dela,
Foge dela,
Oh pescador !

Goethe (1749-1832)

AI BENEVOLI LETTORI

I poeti non amano il silenzio;
desiderano esporsi al publico,
affrontare la lode e il biasimo.
Nessuno ama confessarsi in prosa,
ma spesso ci confidiamo sub rosa,
nel riservato bosco delle Muse.

I miei errori, i miei desideri,
quello che ho patito e vissuto
qui sono fiori, in mazzo assortiti.
È la maturità, la gioventù,
i difetti come le virtù,
figurano bene in canzoni.

PRELUDIO

Noi perduti;
Trovati solo
In opuscoli turistici, dietro ardenti binocoli;

In accurati giambi.

Oh come giunsi a incontrare te, mio
Riluttante leopardo dai lenti occhi.

Stefano passava metade do seu tempo
organizando o seu apartamento,
não que tivesse tantos bens para arrumar.
Talvez em sua mente sim,
que parecia estar desorganizada.
Então era uma constante
arrumar o arrumado.

Laganà, Ristorante a Roma !!!

Love after Love The time will come when, with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other’s welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the stranger who was your self. Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror. Sit. Feast on your life.
(Derek Walcott)

Setz dich. Schmause von deinem Leben.

Schizophrenic, wrenched by two styles,
one a hack's hired prose, I earn
me exile. I trudge this sickle, moonlit beach for miles,

tan, burn
to slough off
this live of ocean that's self-love.

To change your language you must change your life.

I cannot right old wrongs.
Waves tire of horizon and return.
Gulls screech with rusty tongues

Above the beached, rotting pirogues,
they were a venomous beaked cloud at Charlotteville.

One I thought love of country was enough,
now, even if I chose, there is no room at the trough.

I watch the best minds rot like dogs
for scraps of flavour.
I am nearing middle
age, burnt skin
peels from my hand like paper, onion-thin,
like Peer Gynt's riddle.

At heart there is nothing, not the dread
of death. I know to many dead.
They're all familiar, all in character,

even how they died. On fire,
the flesh no longer fears that furnace mouth
of earth,

that kiln or ashpit of the sun,
nor this clouding, unclouding sickle moon
withering this beach again like a blank page.

All its indifference is a different rage.

Derek Walcott

Verrà il tempo in cui,
con esultanza,
saluterai te stesso giunto alla tua porta,

davanti al tuo specchio,
entrambi sorridenti all’altro che ti accoglie,

e pronti a dirvi, siedi. Mangia.

Because memory is less
than the place which it cherishes, frames itself from nowhere
except to say that even with the shit and the stress
of what we do to each other, the running stream’s bliss
contradicts the self-importance of despair
by these glittering simplicities, water, leaves, and air,
that elate dissolution which goes beyond happiness.
